We all know how difficult FAD diets and strict exercise regimes can be.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy gives you the control you need to lose the weight and importantly, keep it off. If we look at the fundamental issues with overeating, or under eating for that matter, there is generally an underlying cause.  If we can understand the brain in its most basic form by splitting it into the two main parts, the intellectual brain (conscious) and the primitive, emotional brain (subconscious), we can start to explain the origins of weight gain.

 

If we are overeating, we are not making an intellectual decision, if we are not making sensible decisions, then it must be coming from our primitive, emotional brain.  Our primitive, emotional brain can only work within the parameters of depression, anger, and anxiety or even a combination of all three.  It is unfortunately also negative and obsessional so no wonder it’s hard to lose the weight!

 

Hypnotherapy is wonderful at helping with weight loss.  We get you to focus on the positive aspects of your life and to concentrate on where you want to be instead of what problems you may or may not have in your life in the past or the present.  Once we explain that anxiety, stress, anger and depression all contribute in the filling of the ‘stress bucket’ and this, in turn, moves us into our emotional brain taking away our ability for any intellectual thought patterns, including eating habits, it frees your mind to take back the control you need, gives you your new found intent and takes you on the journey to lasting physical and emotional change.
